Patagonian Phantasy --14 Days fully inclusive

Prices from AU $ 3950.00

In the south of Coihaique lies one of the most breath-robbing landmarks of the Chilean Patagonian: Lago general Carrera. Two of the most beautiful spots of the region lie around this great lake. They are the famous ice fields, which lead into the San Valentin Mountain

Day 01: Santiago - Coihaique - Puerto Guadal
We meet in Coihaique and cross through the region to Puerto Guadal. On the way there we make a stop in mansion Cerro Castillo, an enormous plateau, which is dominated by a mountain with the same name and in Puerto Tranquilo. Continuing we reach Puerto Guadal and spend the night in a simple, cosy lodge. -/L/D

Day 02: Puerto Guadal - Grey Lake
We leave the Lago general Carrera with the motorboat and steer toward the Lago Bertrand and the Lago Grey. This interesting day trip grants us views of places, which hardly anybody faced before us. We camp on the bank of the Lago Grey. B/L/D

Day 03: Grey Lake - River Soler
On horseback we move now to the Rio Soler. We cross a beautiful valley, which brings us closer to the northern ice fields and we camp against evening at the Rio solar. B/L/D

Day 04: River Soler - Glacier - River Soler

We walk with the aim, to become a view of the ice fields toward the Soler glaciers. After this impressive view we return to the camp. B/L/D

Day 05: River Soler - Puerto Guadal
Today we drive back to the Grey Lake, where the boat will take us back to Puerto Guadal. We spend the night in a lodge. B/L/D

Day 06: Puerto Guadal - Cochrane - San Lorenzo farm
We leave Puerto Guadal behind us and drive by car constantly along the Rio Baker to Cochrane. We continue some kilometres, until we come to the Rio Tranquilo. Here we set up our camp. B/L/D

Day 07: San Lorenzo farm - San Lorenzo Base camp - San Lorenzo farm
We walk to the foot of the San Lorenzo mountain, whose fantastically snow-covered surprise our views and our fantasy. Afterwards return to the base camp. B/L/D

Day 08: San Lorenzo farm - Cochrane
Today it continues to the Rio Tranquilo. From there a transfer to our hotel in Cochrane is organized. B/L/D

Day 09: Cochrane - Tortel

Today we finish the last piece of the Austral Road to Vagabond. The landscape is absolutely unaffected and unexplored here. We take a motorboat, which brings us on the Rio Baker to Tortel. There are no words to describe this unique view of the village included between mountains and ocean. A village that apparently does not belong to this world, without roads and without cars and with a completely own atmosphere. We spend the night in the houses of the natives. B/L/-

Day 10: Tortel - Stephens Valley
A boat tour is expecting us on Stephens's fjord, which ends in a valley with the same name. There we will also set up our camp. B/L/D

Day 11: Stephens Valley - Stephens Glacier - Stephens Valley
Today we reach the deepest south of the northern ice fields by walking through Stephens Glacier. Subsequently, we return to our campsite. B/L/D
