Day 01: Australia – Hanoi
Welcome at the airport.
Day 02 – 03 Hanoi – Halong Bay - Hanoi (B.L.D)
Visit Hanoi 36 guild-ford districts, Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum, the Lake of the Restored Sword, Ngoc Son Temple, Ethnic Group Museum and Old Quarters. Drive through the Red River Delta to Ha Long Bay that has more than 3,000 islands.
Day 04 - 06: Hanoi – Sapa – Hanoi (3B, 2L, 2D)
Overnight train to Sapa. Trekking through the beautiful countryside in Sapa where you have a chance to experience the real local life. Also, visiting some hand-made factories. This is the good chance to buy some favourite fabric or souvenir. Over night train back to Hanoi.
Day 07 - 08: Hanoi – Hue (B.L.D)
Flight to Hue. Enjoying a little siesta until time to be picked up for diner. After dinner will spend a few romantic hours in a coffee shop along the Perfume river to experience the local night life. Visit Hue Imperial palace – A citadel surrounded by large moats. Then on visit King Tu Duc Mausoleum. After that taking a boat cruise on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda-one of the most beautiful Pagodas in Vietnam built at the end of 16th century, also on the way, will enjoy the traditional music of Hue.
Day 09 - 10: Hue – Hoi An (B.L.D)
Drive to Hoi An. on the way visit Cham Museum where the remaining evidence of the Champa civilization can still be seen. A whole free day for relaxation in Hoi An, especially this is the good chance to have some clothes made or pay some dollars to join a cooking class (has to be booked in advance)
Day 11 - 12: Hoi An – Nha Trang (B.L.D)
Flight to Nha Trang. Visit Cham Ponagar sanctuary decorated with divine animal statues and other Hindu shrines. Discover Hon Chong Promontory, an isolated site where huge rocks are piles up in a strange way. Giant Buddha built 1963 Long Son Pagoda and stroll along the beaches. Evening cycle tour will help you to discover some secrets of Nha Trang. Boat to Mun Island, Mot Island, Tam Islands where you can swim or take a nap under an umbrella on the sand and sun bathing. Shopping at Dam Market
Day 13 - 14: Nha Trang - Dalat (B.L.D)
Stop to visit the Poklongiarai built from the 8th to 12th with baked brick with a pyramid – shape on the way to Dalat. The exterior of tower is a masterpiece with chiselled carving of fairy dancers and scenes of hunting, boat racing, and pounding rice in a mortar. Visit Dalat night market. Visit Bao Lai Palace, Tuyen Lam lake and take a fabulous boat cruise on Tuyen Lam river. Free time to browse Dalat market for variety of souvenir including hand-made crafts, arts, tropical fruits etc
Day 15: Dalat – Saigon (B.L.D)
Flight to Saigon. The city tour includes, Notre Dame cathedral, old Saigon post office and the history museum. Then, moving on to visit Ben Thanh market and some other local supermarkets in the city. This is also a good chance for having some clothes made in Saigon. In the evening, Enjoying a amusing dinner on Saigon river
Day 16 - 17: Saigon – Nui Dat – Vung Tau (B.L.D)
Visit Binh Tay market in china town where it is the whole-sales product distributor is. Then, head to Vung Tau, one of the most beautiful seashore cities of Vietnam. Stop to visit Nui Dat, the former Australian Army Base during Vietnam War. The continue drive to Vung Tau city. Visit the White Villa, where the last King of Vietnam (King Bao Dai) used as a summer palace, then continue to visit the Whale Temple and Jesus' statue. Drive back to Saigon.
Day 18: Saigon – Mekong – Saigon (B.L.D)
Morning departure from Saigon and drive overland to Cai Be, in the heart of the Mekong Delta. On arrival, board a sampan for a cruise on the Mekong River and its multiple canals to Vinh Long. Visit Cai Be floating market, an old colonial house, a rice corn factory and taste local specialties for lunch. Return to Saigon. Overnight in Sai Gon.
Day 19: Saigon – Cu Chi Tunnel – Saigon (B.L.D)
A late start today will give you a opportunity to sleep in or enjoy some services provided in the hotel. Drive to Cuchi tunguerrilla's area and visit the underground tunnels. There are more than 200 km of tunnels that were built by the Communist guerrillas during the war. After that heading back to Saigon for dinner and overnight in Saigon.
Day 20 - 22: Saigon (B) - Australia
A whole free day to explore Saigon city, for shopping and relaxing. Transport to the airport for flight back to Australia. Arriving in Australia on day 22; The journey to Vietnam is an ever experience to share with family and friends and to keep it as a special souvenir for a life time.
