Day 1: Australia - Bangkok
Fly to Bangkok, upon arrival at the airport, meet with our guide and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2: Bangkok (B.L.D)
Today you will visit the highlights of Bangkok, start with The Grand Palace then to Wat Pho, the oldest and biggest temple with the largest number of pagodas in the city. Continue to Anantatsamakom Throne Hall, which was built in an imperial fusion of Western Renaissance and ancient Thai styles.
Day 3: Bangkok - Khanchanaburi (B.L.D)
Leave Bangkok in the morning for the most colorful of Thailand’s floating markets at Damnoen Saduak in Ratchaburi Province, which about 104 km southwest of Bangkok. Board a canal boat and view native life along the canal banks. After lunch we will go to the "BuddhistTigerTemple”. Overnight at rafting hotel in the middle of the jungle.
Day 4: Khanchanaburi (B.L.D)
This morning travel to one of the most beautiful waterfall in Thailand, Erawan Waterfall which is 65 km from Kanchanaburi on Highway, situated amongst rough jungle. Afternoon, continue to The Hellfire Pass Memorial and MemorialMuseum. The memorial comprises a trail where visitors follow the old railway track into the jungle and a museum.
Day 5: Khanchanaburi – River Kwai – Ayuthaya (B.L.D)
Take scenic train ride to Khancanburi town and stop at the Bridge on River Kwai. The bridge on river Kwai is well known as part of the Death Railway link Thailand and Burma. Continue to Ayutthaya and on the way stop at Bangsai, the lacquer Pavilion and Bangsai Silapacheep Centre. Overnight in Ayuthaya.
Day 6: Ayuthaya – Phitsanulok – Sukhothai (B.L.D)
Travel Ayutthaya, a World Heritage site: visit famous temples such as Wat Prasrisanphet, Viharn Phra Mongkolborphit, Wat Mahathat, Wat Ratchaburana and a wonderful Ayutthaya study museum. Continue the trip to Sukhothai. On the way sop at Phitsanulok. Visit Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat and FolkloreMuseum.
Overnight in Sukhothai.
Day 7: Sukhothai – Srisatchanalai - Lampang (B.L.D)
This morning observe Sukhothai Historical Park, Ruins of the royal palaces, the city gates, walls, moats, dams, ditches, ponds,canals, and the water dyke control system, which were the magical and spiritual centre of the kingdom. Visit SriSachanalaiHistoricalPark It is a place that has been registered by the UNESCO as the world’s heritage like Sukhothai historical park which is about 52 kilometers away from town centre. Continue to Lampang.
Day 8: Lampang – Payoaw – Chaing Rai (B.L.D)
After explore the beautiful Lampang, you will then travel up to Chiang Rai and on the way stop at Payoaw where pine apple farm and local way of living can be seen along the way. Overnight in Chaing Rai.
Day 9: Chiang Rai – Golden Triangle – Chiang Mai (B.L)
Visit The Golden Triangle where the Mekhong meets the Ruak River and also where the borders of three countries, Laos, Burma and Thailand, Take a trip to Doi Tung. The Wat Phra That Doi Tung Holy Relic, an old religious site on top of the mountain. Then visit Mae Sai market. Continue to Yapa Hill tribe village to observe the way of living of Palong, the long neck Hill tribe people. Drive to Chiang Mai.
Day 10: Chiang Mai (B.L.D)
An interesting cooking class will be arranged this morning, Free at leisure in the afternoon. Attend a traditional Khan Toke Dinner.
Day 11: Chiang Mai (B.L)
Optional to join the Buddhism daily practice, Tak bat ceremony in early morning. Today you will visit Chiang dow elephant camp. An interesting demonstration of how trained elephants are used as work animals in the teak forests of Thailand around 10.00 am. Next enjoy an exciting trek on an elephant back around camp through the jungle and along the river. Afterwards, board bamboo rafts along a very picturesque stretch of the MeaPingRiver to see the beautiful scenery down the river.
Day 12: Chiang Mai (B.L)
After breakfast Drive up Doi (Mount) Suthep to visit Wat Phrathad Doi Suthep, the most sacred temple in Northern Thailand, A panoramic view of the city can be seen from here. Then visit ChiangMaiNationalMuseum. Then, travel to TribalMuseum. This is an ethnology museum featuring culture of 9 hill tribes. Continue to Bor-Sang, a traditional umbrella-making village.
Day 13: Chiang Mai – Bangkok – Australia (B)
There is a free time for your own exploration of the town and catching up on some shopping areas. The trip ends after transfer to airport for your flight back to Australia via Bangkok.
Day 14: Australia
Arrive in Australia in the morning.
